Fighter pilot Oscar Coen was one of these brave men and "A Time of Eagles" portrays Coen every bit he soars through the clouds at sunset in his Spitfire. Phillips grew up loving fine art but never thought he could get in his livelihood. At college he majored in criminology and had been accepted into law school when four of his paintings were sold at an airdrome eatery. That was all the incentive he needed to begin his work as a fine art painter. Beak Phillips is at present a renowned aviation artist and the landscape artist of option for many collectors.
